John Allen, owner of Capital Restoration has been working with fine antiques his entire adult life. Trained in archaeology, he spent six years as a museum director and curator caring for historic artifacts.
John moved to Raleigh in 1995 to work at the North Carolina Museum of History’s conservation lab, where he concentrated on furniture and frame restoration. Founding Capital Restoration in 1997, he has provided expert restoration services to area museums, historic sites, universities, antique dealers and private owners.
